Weekend Reads – Thinking Fast and Slow

The new book Thinking Fast and Slow by psychologist and Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman explores how we think, and how the impulsive “emotional self” reacts much faster than the slower, more deliberate “logical self”.  That’s right…so guess which self is making most of your important decisions?  Yes, that one.  The implications for economics, public policy, self-awareness and how we approach decision making are great.  Kahneman has been looking into why people continuously make the wrong, often less rational choices.   I’m thinking it might be a good choice to devote some time to this new book this weekend.  See his TED talk below and read more about the book here.  So slow down, you move too fast, make the morning last…have a groovy weekend.
