How To: Remove a stubborn label from a glass jar

Removing a stubborn label…it requires nothing more than a little patience

1. Clean jar of all remnants of food, etc.
2. Fill a bowl with water, large enough to cover any surface area that has glue and/or label on it.  Submerge the jar.
3. Make sure the jar fills with water as well to keep it  down.  If it tries to float, weigh it down.
4. Leave the jar in water overnight.   The label should easily slip away, you may need to wipe the jar with a soft sponge to get at the last bits. (this step can sometimes take only minutes, depending on the type of glue originally used to apply the label)
5. Dry and find a new use for your jar – enjoy!
